The new video about the project

22.01.2026

We are happy to present a new video with findings from the STUDACT project.

We explored how young people in six countries – UK, US, Italia, Germany, Australia and Poland – perceive, make sense of, and take up activism – treating them as partners rather than merely research subjects.

We began the project by conducting a series of systematic literature reviews on youth activism in the context of global citizenship education (GCE). These reviews capture changing forms of youth participation, but they also reveal major gaps: the evidence base is heavily concentrated in the Global North, other contexts remain under-examined, and the field presents a fragmented picture that varies across contexts and educational settings. This video brings these observations together into a shared frame.
