We’re excited to announce that our latest research, “Intersectional action in youth activism in the UK: an exploration of data across different social media platforms,” has been published in the Journal of Youth Studies. Dr. Simon Eten, Prof. Miri Yemini, and Dr. Tara Bartlett authored the article.

The study examines how young activists in the UK engage with intersectional approaches through social media platforms. Using a longitudinal thematic analysis of social media content, the research reveals that youth activists increasingly adopt frame-bridging strategies that connect different activism domains, creating what the authors term a “common sphere of action.” This work advances our understanding of how digital platforms enable cross-movement solidarity and collaborative activism among young people navigating complex political landscapes.
