Prof. Dr. Nina Kolleck is educational researcher and political scientist who currently serves as a Full Professor of Educational and Socialization Theory at the University of Potsdam. Previously, she was full professor at the University of Leipzig, RWTH Aachen, FU Berlin.
Futhermore, she was guest professor at different international universities such as the University of California Berkeley, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her contributions to these fields have earned her different awards, including the ‘Award for Research Cooperation and High Excellence in Science’ by the Max Planck Society and the BMBF (together with Prof. Yemini), and an ERC Grant by the European Research Council.
Her research has been funded by various organizations, including the DFG, ERC, and Max Planck Society. Her research interests include social network analysis, youth research, socialization, educational networks, democracy education, climate education, and cultural education.
She regularly advises federal ministries and serves as a member of various scientific advisory boards, including the steering group “Determining the Performance of Education in International Comparison.”
